Grown by Twin Oaks Seed Farm (VA) – 60 days – Ocium basilicum

This Thai Basil comes by way of Adaptive Seeds in Oregon. They originally got it from a commercial seed company source in Thailand, as a variable population. They’ve since selected to be able to reliably produce seed in their temperate climate. We appreciate the diversity in this seedstock – including in leaf size and in growth habit of the flowers. All the plants grew beautifully for us, with wonderfully aromatic green leaves and purple flowers. Stems are also purple. Most plants are about 30 inches tall and rounded, with occasional shorter ones. 700 seeds/gram.
