This is our new red selection from Yellow Moon and Stars! Its sweet and delicious and so fun and beautiful. Yellow Moon and Stars is an heirloom with roots in Georgia and the Caribbean. Our experience is that it tastes sweeter and does better in Virginia than the more northern-adapted red moon and stars varieties. This new red selection retains that adaptation and sweetness (it also has white seeds, unlike most red moon and stars varieties). Expect some variation: shapes vary from round to oblong, and about 15% have orange flesh. Exteriors are dark green with bright yellow stars and moons, and they average about 12 pounds. 8 seeds/gram.
