Granny's Choice Tomato. A new variety that has really stood out in our trials the last few years. Very flavorful, firm, split-resistant fruits with beautiful bright red interiors. Dwarf plants with good productivity. We'll have seeds for sale in the fall Bred by our friend Steve Peters in Oregon. Common Wealth Pickler! Ping Tung Long and Florida Market eggplants! Starting fermented pickles! These are harvests from our Common Wealth Pickler stock selection row. Ping Tung Long and Florida Market eggplants! AU Jubilant Watermelon - bred at Auburn University in Alabama in the 80s. Good flavor, good size and very sturdy. Scarlet Begonias! An open pollinated sweet pepper we bred out of Johnny's Carmen hybrid. If you're growing it this year let us know your thoughts. One of the selections from our vine borer resistant summer squash breeding project! These are Cucurbita moschata species, which rarely get vine borer.. This population is from a cross between Korean variety Jin Dong Ae and Brazilian variety Mini Paulista. We're selecting for downy mildew resistance and general resilience, as well as yields. We also want something that people will easily recognize as summer squash. The color of this selection is notable for how it matches zucchini, and over time we'll be looking for a more elongated shape. But for now they're already great in terms of flavor, pest and disease resistance, and productivity, and they look pretty nice. Processing Sweet Beauty watermelons for seed and juice. So sweet and delicious. Sweet Beauty is originally a hybrid bred by Taiwanese seed company Known-You Seeds. We found that there was only minimal segregation in the F2 generation, and have started working with it as an open pollinated variety. It's similar to Chou Cheh Red, a Chinese variety we sell - both are incredibly sweet. Sweet Beauty has a lower incidence of hollow heart however. We're continuing to assess and compare the two, and will have both for sale this winter.
