New Release! These big, sweet rectangular red peppers will provide a steady yield over a long season. Plants are strong, generally disease resistant, and average 4 ft. tall in North Carolina – so trellising is highly recommended (much easier than tomatoes). This pepper has been over 15 years in the making. Doug Jones has blended several blocky bell heirlooms with the long Italian Marconi type, to arrive at this long rectangular shape. Throughout the process, he continually selected for high yield, large sweet fruit, and thick, sturdy fruit walls. If grown on fertile soil, the ripe fruits keep for a couple weeks in a cooler at 45-50 degrees. 150 seeds/gram.
