New Release! We’ve been affectionately saving this beautiful selection from Yellow Moon and Stars for four years now at Twin Oaks Seed Farm. In addition to the yellow stars and moons they have a netted background that makes them look like some of those colorful pictures of distant galaxies taken by giant telescopes. The melons have sweet yellow interiors and average 15 pounds. Seeds are white and large, but not overly plentiful. Around a quarter of the melons will have the darker green coloration (along with yellow moons and stars) typical of Yellow Moon and Stars, a percentage that will decrease over time as we continue selection. Yellow Moon and Stars originates from Georgia and the Caribbean, and these have correspondingly disease tolerant foliage. The name Stardust is inspired by the Joni Mitchell song Woodstock: “We are stardust, we are golden, and we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.” 270 seeds/ounce.
