Bred for winter and spring harvests by Brett Grosghal at Even’ Star Farm in Southern Maryland. New Star overwinters well without row cover in Virginia, and is slow to bolt in the spring. The leaves are medium-spicy, tender, green, and lobed. A strong, resilient and tasty addition to overwintered food gardens. These seeds have been hot water treated to prevent disease. 570 seeds/gram.
