Cambuci (Brazilian Orchid) Spice Pepper (Certified Organic)

Grown by Twin Oaks Seed Farm – 115 days – Capsicum baccatum

These spectacularly shaped red peppers are very sweet and crisp, with just a little spice near the seeds – the spiciness varies a bit between plants, but all are mild as hot peppers go. The 4-foot tall plants create a dense canopy, outcompeting weeds before making a prolific fruit set. We recommend covering with plastic or row cover late in the season to secure the full harvest (and to have peppers through November). Our seedstock came from Tom Frothingham at a seed swap in Arkansas in 2013 – he called them Brazilian Orchid, but further research indicates these are called Cambuci peppers in Brazil. 125 seeds/gram.
